Water User Master Plan (WUMP) Workshop
Bahir Dar, March 3 – 5, 2015

HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation is implementing in three Woredas of the Amhara National Regional State its Amhara Integrated Rural Wash (AIRWASH) project. Under this project HELVETAS plans to introduce Water User Master Plans (WUMP) for water user groups at Kebele level, for which it will organise training for the AIRWASH project staff and partners end of February 2015.
Taking the opportunity of having water experts from abroad with us in Ethiopia, but also in order to get some exposure to the WUMP tool and its relation to elements like the 3R concept of Water Recharge, Retention and Re-use, integrated water resource management (IWRM) and the community-based participatory watershed development (CBPWD) approach practiced in Ethiopia, HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation would like to invite you to Bahir Dar for a 3 day WUMP workshop.
HELVETAS is grateful to the RAIN Foundation (http://www.rainfoundation.org/) as one of the funding agencies of AIRWASH for sponsoring the WUMP workshop.
